Another outstanding example of the copper artistry of Francisco Rebajes, one of the stars of the Modernist jewelry movement. The necklace and bracelet are formed of closely fitted articulated links in the design called 'Leaves.' The copper is anodized and has the soft finish characteristic of many Rebajes pieces and the links are so flexible that the set is super comfortable to wear.
Both pieces are in original, unpolished condition with soft patina, and have push clasps in white metal. The bracelet is 7" long and 5/8" wide and the necklace is 14" long and also 5/8" wide. They are both in excellent condition. I've taken a picture of the back so you can see the artistry and technique used by Rebajes to create this design. Only the neclace is signed Rebajes just below the clasp as shown in the detail photo provided.
This is a wonderful opportunity to own a superb example of Modernist jewelry at an affordable price. |
