Very graceful Art Nouveau/Deco pendant necklace, possibly a transitional piece. The pendant dangles from a round floral stamping and has an ornate, two layer setting. A large, facetted carnelian glass oval is sawtooth set in the center. The setting has snakelike twists on the outer ring, with an applied section of graceful, flowing lines.
The chain consists of openwork, oval links with four smooth carnelian glass ovals as accents. The metal is unmarked with a silvery color and is fairly lightweight. It has a bright, silvery look and doesn't appear to need polishing.
This necklace is in excellent, original condition and has a spring ring clasp. The pendant is 1 1/2 x 2 1/8 inches and the neckline measurement is 18 inches. This is a beautiful piece and a great gift idea.
