Outstanding and showy retro beaded necklace, probably 1950s, done in the flapper style of a long strand with hanging tassels. The beads are a mix of clear 14mm beads with white swirls, aurora borealis 6mm rounds, aurora bicones and small, brass beads and filigree bead caps. There are 6 dangling strands hanging from a large, filigreed bead cap, adding a great sense of movement to the necklace. It is quite similar to designs made by the Sherman Company of Canada.
This beaded necklace is in excellent condition with a secure, spring ring clasp. The neckline measurement is 23 inches and the dangling portion is 3 inches long. Lovely for bringing some sparkle into your holiday festivities. |
