Exceptional retro design sterling brooch with gold wash has two flowers-one open and the other still a bud. Each flower is set with deep blue marquis sets with crystal rhinestone accepts. It is marked sterling on the back and I believe it's probably 1930s or 40s vintage.
This pin is in great, original condition with some loss to the gold wash, appropriate to its age. The patina has a lovely, soft look and has not been polished. There is some darkening of the stones, but does not detract from the look or wearability of this pin. It does remind me of a Reja design and certainly has the quality of design. It is marked sterling on the back and has a secure safety clasp. Size is 3 x 2 1/8 inches. |
