Very interesting faux buckle Arts & Crafts sash pin with a domed and geometric shape and engraved with soft, foliate designs on a textured background. It has a pair of hooks applied to simulate a buckle. It could be a transitional piece.
This Arts & Crafts brooch is in very good, original condition with the old style 'C' clasp and heavy pin stem appropriate to the era. Although the piece has some tarnish, I have not polished this sash pin as I prefer to leave vintage items in their original condition. There is an illegible maker's mark on the back.
Size is 3 1/4 x 1 7/8 with a depth of 1/2 inch and is a substantial piece. |
