Necklace pendant is a compact with mirror and a space for, possibly, a memento or powder inside. The front has a woman's profile in silver metal on a background of black enamel. The back has foliate engraving on a cross-hatched backing. Could possibly be a mourning piece.
This vintage hinged compact pendant necklace is in very good, unpolished, vintage condition with some wear on the back engraving appropriate to its age. I don't believe the chain is original, but it came to me this way and has a secure spring ring clasp.
Size: compact 1 1/4 x 1 5/8 x 1/8 inch, chain is 18 inches, but can be adjusted to 14 inches. |
